How Did We Get Our Name?

We often get asked why we're called the 'blue' forest. Forests are green after all, right? We adopted that part of our name from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains that cover most of Western North Carolina, our home state. While they extend from Pennsylvania to Georgia, the highest peaks are found here. The highest point in the Blue Ridge range is Mount Mitchell which reaches 6,684 feet in elevation. Mt. Mitchell is not just the highest peak in the Blue Ridge range, it is also the highest summit east of the Mississippi River.

Part of the Appalachian Mountains, the Blue Ridge is known for being shrouded in a lovely bluish haze, especially when seen from a distance. This phenomenon is actually caused by trees. Oaks and other trees that thrive in the Blue Ridge release isoprene to protect their leaves from heat stress, and those emissions create the famous blue tint you see in these mountains.

As an ascending company, we look to imitate the mountain range by striving for the highest peaks in personal and professional excellence, customer satisfaction, performance, product selection, reliability, and customer relations. We may not release a blue haze when it's crunch time, but we do respond with our own old-school grit and tenacity to make the best of every opportunity that comes our way.

'Forest' comes from the nature of our industry. There are many aspects to the world of e-commerce and sometimes it can feel as if you're wandering through a forest, unsure of which path is best for you. Is one route less traveled for good reason? We help to take the guesswork out of your journey by providing tried and true maps to success, along with offering guide services to make your trek a breeze.
